Hollywood actor and filmmaker, Ben Affleck believes he will still appear in more movies as the caped crusader, Batman.

This comes amid reports that he was being eased out of the DC Comics Extended Universe (DCEU) by Warner Bros.

‘Let me be very clear, I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest part in the universe. I’m so thrilled to do it,’ Affleck said during Warner Bros.’ Comic-Con panel on Saturday.

He said that after two film appearances as Batman, he still can’t believe he gets to play the part.

Affleck also said he has talked to Warners’ heads Kevin Tsujihara, Sue Kroll and Toby Emmerich about the role and was assured they still want him as Batman.

”We want you to be the Batman’ they told me, and I believe them,’ he said.

And while it remains unclear in what direction Batman will ultimately go, Affleck paid homage to the film director, Matt Reeves.

‘I would be an ape on the ground for Matt Reeves!’ he said of the man who was brought on to replace him as director of The Batman

Reeves intends to make a trilogy with the character and is said to have dropped a script by Affleck and Geoff Johns for the film.

For now, Affleck will star as Batman in Justice League which is scheduled for November 2017 followed by The Batman.
